I'm a bilingual writer and comedian born in Madrid and based in Edinburgh.

I studied Graphic Arts and Design in Madrid, and completed my internship at Grazia Spain magazine. I also started Art History at Universidad Complutense. (Notice the subtle use of started? That’s because I never finished it. But that’s ancient history.)

I've been writing online since 2008, back when blogging was this magical new thing you could use to make new friends and show the world your niche hobbies. In 2016, while working in fashion, I documented a year-long No Buy challenge in my now-defunct Blogspot. The experience transformed my relationship with the industry, led me to embrace a more sustainable approach to it, still to this day, and helped me realise that my real interest wasn't fashion itself, but writing and storytelling.

After buying a one-way ticket to Edinburgh in 2020, I began focusing on comedy. Since then, I've performed stand-up at well-known venues including The Stand and Monkey Barrel, spoken word at Argonaut Books, Soapbox for Creatives and more. And for the past two years, I've led a team in the 48 Hour Film Project.

My work lives in the space between cultures, languages, and identities. Shaped by Spain, rooted in Scotland, and married to a Swiss-French, I explore the absurdities, misunderstandings, and emotional contradictions of building a life between several worlds. Whether I'm writing about things that get lost in translation, modern adulthood, or why bus drivers always seem to salute each other, I'm drawn to stories that are playful, curious, and relatable.

In 2024, I permanently deleted my social media accounts (IG, TikTok, FB and LinkedIn) and became interested in how creatives can build meaningful careers and communities away from those platforms.

From 2025, I began taking freelance writing commissions and expanding my long-form work through my newsletter, Sad Little Life, and other publications like The Leither. You can find a selection of my favourite pieces here.

I'm currently procrastinating working on my first fiction novel: a comedy ghost story set in modern-day Edinburgh, exploring themes like grief, immigration, and overtourism.
